Do you feel alone in your grief, unsure how to process your pain?
The Healing Power of Lament
A Path to Resilience
Have you ever learned the biblical language of lament? Most of us haven’t.
As children, we felt deeply and expressed our grief freely. But over time, we learned to silence our sorrow. We were hushed as babies, shushed as children, and eventually, we understood—our tears make others uncomfortable, and grief is an unwelcome intruder. So, we buried it. We pushed it down…
But grief was never meant to be carried alone.
God has given us the gift of lament—a sacred way to hold space for pain, both our own and others’. Lament invites us to bring our deepest hurt to God, wrestle with Him through our sorrow, and find healing in His presence. Though over one-third of the Psalms are laments, this powerful practice is unfamiliar to most 21st-century believers.
It’s time to rediscover this sacred gift—and step into the healing and hope God offers through lament.
Are you asking yourself…
“Why can’t I handle this?"
“Why haven't I gotten over it yet?”
"What’s wrong with me?”
You weren't meant to handle this alone.
Grief has no timeline.
There’s nothing wrong with you—your tears are a natural response to loss.
